Enhancing Curriculum Through Music:

Find ways to add music to your classroom without taking time away from other curriculum needs. Setting information to music always enhances memory (think about the ABCs or jingles you can't get out of your head.) This workshop will help you tap into the benefits of music, and locate appropriate music to tie into curriculum areas, and will help you write (or help students write) your own song parodies about classroom subjects. This workshop also includes training to develop your musical confidence, suggested recordings, and hands-on experience with writing and singing.

Music Appreciation as a Classroom Tool:

How to teach an overview of music, including basic notation, instrumentation, music history, and classical selections, to achieve state music standards and to foster other classroom goals such as history and geography, presentation skills, working in groups and more. This workshops includes a wide array of suggested activities, recommended and easily available selections, and is ideal for tying in to specific curriculum.

Yes, YOU CAN sing! (Getting Over Musicphobia...)

You can bring music and singing into the classroom, even if you've been told you're tone-deaf! This workshop will develop your musical confidence, help you learn basic vocal technique, and make you comfortable with leading and teaching singing. The workshop includes an overview of basic music terminology, suggestions for ways to incorporate music into the classroom, and a guarantee that you'll feel better about your singing.
